On this guided bird tour around the various habitats of Mitchell Lake Audubon Center, guests will see at least 30-50 different bird species with our expert guide. Travelling by both car and by foot to access as many areas as possible, this tour is best suited for the birder age 15+ as it can last up to four hours, though you may leave at any time. Tours are limited. Bring your binoculars, bottle for water, closed-toe shoes, long pants, and bug spray.

In 2026, we are honored to celebrate AVA, America’s Walking Club’s 50th Anniversary, recognizing fifty years of promoting fitness, fellowship, and lifelong adventure. The celebration begins on February 20, 2026, in Fredericksburg, Texas, with a welcoming Opening Ceremony and Friendship Walk to kick off this unforgettable weekend.

Opening Ceremony will start at 9am under the Adelsverein covered pavilion at the Marktplatz.🥾 Day 2 (February 21): Choose between a 5k, 10k, Half and Full Marathon Walk through the heart of San Antonio, followed by a fun social gathering on South Alamo Street with free goodies from The Jewel and Churrostar.🥾 Day 3 (February 22): Choose between a 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon Walk with the finish line and closing ceremony happening at the Beethoven Maennerchor.

"Abundant Nature" is an Art Exhibit by Stefani Job Spears in the Molly Shafer Gallery at the King William Association. Stefani Job Spears holds a Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. She has been teaching Visual Arts throughout the state for thirty years. As an artist-in-residence for the Texas Commission on the Arts, Spears developed curriculum and fine art standards for public schools. In addition, Spears has taught Art, developed events and programs for the Southwest School of Art and Saint Mary's Hall. Her innovative art works frequently cross media boundaries, combining handmade paper, printmaking, oils and watercolors that reflect her love of nature and landscapes. Free and open to the public of all ages.
A family-friendly, free event, noon to 5 pm, featuring Irish folk music, storytelling, dance performances, a Celtic Market, exhibit of Celtic hurling and Celtic football scrimmages in the nearby Park, a Children's Play area, Genealogy booth, a pop up Irish Consulate, the Passport to Ireland exhibit, a free Irish High Tea, a Beleek rare china exhibit, and information booths featuring the SA Highland Games and the SA Gaelic Athletic Association.

Have you been curious about how to use a Gelli plate to create your own prints or want to refresh your skills? Then join Anfisa for an afternoon of Gelli plate lessons and print making, using masks, stencils, household objects, etc.
All supplies will be provided, along with guided instruction. Participants should expect to leave with several completed prints.
Participants will have an opportunity to purchase the plates and brayers used in class. $20 for a 8x10 Gel Plate, $5 for a Brayer.

Tickets must be purchased online at least 12 hours before the workshop. No walk-ins. Space is limited. Tickets are non refundable so please plan accordingly before purchasing. Please have email confirmation / ticket readily available upon arrival. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Attendees may bring non messy snacks and drinks in sealable containers. Please note that photographs will be taken throughout this workshop. These may be used by Spare Parts for marketing and publicity in our publications, on our website and in social media or in any third party publication.
